Focused use of Penton VocabuLearn, supplemented with always-at-hand dictionary, and some grammar/social reading before sleep. Lots of watching of Japanese TV... noticing myself understanding some stuff without translating, but still a very limited range of the total communication. (TV is really good for Japanese, because it shows a great variety of social relations and speaking styles.)
Musically, I've switched to a Casio CTK-691 keyboard. They're cheap at $200 and are available everywhere, and they're a really good instrument, too. It's fun to have touch in the fingers, rather than in the bellows, and the wide range of piano arrangements no longer needs to be transcribed.
